Schaumburg, IL-based Motorola has anounced the newest addition to its computing portfolio from its Enterprise Mobility Solutions division: the ES400 global enterprise digital assistant.
Its lightest EDA to date, it was built on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 platform. Market applications include in field service and sales, retail, healthcare, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, and distribution.

VMware channel partners will reportedly begin selling Zimbra — an open source email system that looks very much like OWA — starting on the first of the month.
The Zimbra Collaboration Suite (now in version 6.0) has been recognized as the leading open source solution for enterprise, service provider, education, and government environments. Mac and Linux email server bases, growing in numbers, are expected to benefit most directly.

Two new Small Business Server previews, code-named "SBS 7" and "SBS Aurora" were announced Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference last week in Washington, D.C. They will be made available as preview releases, real public reviews, via sign ups taken at Microsoft's SBS portal page here.
Microsoft will notify those who sign up when the preview software can be downloaded, but availability is estimated by summer's end, according to a Microsoft blog.
