SherWeb announced it acquired ORCS Web Inc., a Windows-based managed hosting provider that will continue to operate as a SherWeb subsidiary.
OrcsWeb, which provides shared, cloud,
and dedicated server hosting solutions, will accelerate SherWeb’s entry into the Infrastructure-as-a-Service segment. “SherWeb’s expansion into IaaS will enable us to offer customers and channel partners more value and choice from the cloud, without having to invest in or maintain complex infrastructure themselves,” says SherWeb’s Co-founder and President Matthew Cassar. “OrcsWeb naturally complements our overall business strategy because their depth of expertise in managed Windows hosting is one of several areas of diversification that will be critical to cloud services providers in the near future.”
SherWeb, named a Microsoft 2014 World Hosting Partner of the Year Finalist, also will soon launch its Performance Cloud Servers.
