Aruba Networks Announces New Partner Program for Mobile App Developers

Aruba Networks newLogoToday, Aruba Networks, Inc. announced the launch of a new partner program network for their Aruba WorkSpace offering. The program, designed for Aruba-certified mobile application developers, will establish a community and add Aruba security easily to existing apps.

Interested developers may apply to become an Aruba Workspace partner via a simple application on the company’s site. This will allow the dev to add increased authentication functionality, device monitoring and jailbreak detection to their app, which will be available via the WorkSpace platform. According to Aruba, there are currently 40 app partners in the program, including YouSendIt, TeamBox, TigerText, Filamente and CloudOn.

Peter Cellarius, Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships, Aruba Networks, spoke a bit about the launch in a press release today: “Developing and supporting an ecosystem of mobile applications is central to our strategy for Aruba WorkSpace and critical to its success in the enterprise. We’re pleased to see such a positive response from the mobile application community, with 40+ applications integrated at launch – and growing quickly.”

The company also announced today that they will be including the WorkSpace offering with the Aruba ClearPass Access Management system, a program that is designed to help simplify BYOD for enterprises, and includes features that allow an organization to only wipe corporate data from a device, and keep user s’ personal data untouched.
