Today, D&H Distributing announced that it saw double-digit growth in SMB solution sales during the first quarter of 2014. The company, which just ended its Fiscal Year for 2014 on April 30, is excited about this growth, as well as plans for the future.
“We are genuinely focused on the ‘S’ in SMB, so we’re glad to see that our sales numbers and top-selling categories bear that out. Not every corner of the channel caters to resellers who work with smaller local companies,” said Dan Schwab, co-president at D&H Distributing. “D&H has seen its most recent success in bread-and-butter computing categories like networking, notebooks, servers and storage. This shows that small businesses are no less sophisticated in their needs than their tier-one counterparts, and that they derive benefit from an organized and scalable IT architecture. If anything, VARs in these regional markets require more support and resources, in order to provide the infrastructures that SMBs need to be productive, at accessible prices. D&H is a champion for these resellers, making sure our programs and services allow them to meet the needs of this unique profile.”
D&H representatives explained there were a few key programs that drove the 20+% growth in the SMB space:
- Partner Services Marketing Library Enhancements, including the addition of 3-4 new, brandable templates each quarter for use by partners.
- Dedicated pages for its K-12 resellers to meet Common Core and ConnectED initiatives.
- The addition of the “Make the Move from XP” page.
- The D&H Business Assurance Program, which has put tens of millions of dollars in additional credit into the VAR space during the past year.
When it comes to Fiscal Year 2015, the company is expecting major growth again in the K-12 education solution space, as well as in notebooks, desktops, tablets, networking solutions, server solutions and storage products.
