Microsoft’s HelpBridge App now Available for Windows, Android and iOS devices

Microsoft LogoMicrosoft recently announced the availability of a new cross-platform application, HelpBridge. This application quickly allows users to either get or give help from their smartphones in the event of a natural disaster.

HelpBridge is free for Android, iOS and Windows devices. In the event of an emergency, affected users may send a message via SMS or e-mail that will either ask for help, or let family members know simultaneously that they’re okay. In addition, the app allows people to post their message to Facebook and include GPS coordinates as to their location.

For those app users who are looking to give help, there are a few options to support the relief efforts. HelpBridge features links to the top 25 disaster relief organization in the world for users to provide Text or PayPal donations, or to see a list of most-needed supplies for any goods donations.  The app also shows users a list of local volunteer centers.

Please visit the site here to learn more about HelpBridge or to download the app. For a demo video of this application, presented by Microsoft’s Ben Rudolph and James Rooney, please visit the site here.
