Earlier this week, The Outlook Foundation announced that their participation at this year’s SMB Nation Fall Conference was a big success. This organization, which collects both monetary and mechanical donations, provides refurbished computers to children separated by foster care, under-resourced children, and deployed members of the military. The main goal of the Outlook Foundation is to enable familial communication and connection during times of separation.
“It brings incredible happiness to us to present a child with a computer, because we know that it can help to provide an equal chance for that child to succeed with their educational opportunities. This is something most of us and our children take for granted,” said Christine Iasiuolo, Co-Founder, Outlook Foundation. “In addition, knowing that a military person was able to witness the birth of his child while away, through the use of a computer, makes this so rewarding.”
The Outlook Foundation, was founded by long-time SMB Nation Community Member, John Iasiuolo, who recently passed away. His wife, Christine, and their family friend, Sharon Fry, are continuing John’s work through community outreach at events like the SMB Nation Fall Conference. At this year’s event, Christine, Sharon and their team were able to share their message at a breakfast session, a booth raffle/silent auction, and through a presentation of computers to young students during a lunch keynote.
