Earlier this week, Sprint announced the launch of their new CloudCompute solution, which integrates the company’s Global MPLS into CSC’s virtualized cloud computing offering. Increased business agility was the driving force behind the development of the CloudCompute solution, which is currently available to US-based Sprint customers.
CloudCompute is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) that allows users to provision services on-demand via a web portal. In addition, this web portal provides a modicum of transparency, as the user may view the full network. Other features include connection to a secure server, 24/7 monitoring, a single account, invoice and representative team for all services. Sprint’s CloudCompute currently has three service levels in place to help organizations find the best fit for their needs, though interested parties must contact Sprint to get more information about the specifics on these levels.
