MSP firm TechSquad IT announced today that Chris Wiser, the company’s Founder and CEO, will be the subject of a documentary film titled, “The IT Guy,” which will be broadcast on a nationally syndicated cable television channel on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 7:30 am EST/6:30 am CST.
The documentary, which was produced and directed by Nick Nanton and his Emmy® Award –winning team at CelebrityFilms™, was filmed last fall in and around the greater Milwaukee area, where TechSquad IT, and Wiser are both based. Much of the documentary shares an inside look at Wiser’s unique way of working with his clients and how he helps them solve their corporate issues. The film also goes above and beyond to make an impact in the lives of both his small to midsize business clients and the community he serves.
The IT Guy opens by focusing on Wiser, who at an early age got his competitive and ambitious streak by working with his family on Sprint racing cars. It was these tactics, dedication and discipline that he learned on the track, which led him to start his own IT business, TechSquad IT, in 2008. The film will also reveal how Wiser, in the face of both his successes (and failures), has never allowed anything to stop him from reaching his goals. It’s his commitment to not only his customers, and his employees, but to himself as well, that keeps him going, and eventually allowed him to triple TechSquad IT’s revenue just in the last year alone.
A self-made entrepreneur, Wiser has been dubbed the “Serial Entrepreneur of the IT industry.” If something doesn’t work or isn’t available to him, he takes matters into his own hands and just does it himself. As one well-regarded Milwaukee business owner is quoted as saying in the film: “Chris’ way may not be the easiest way, or the cheapest way, but it’s always the right way.”
“During the filming of ‘The IT Guy,’ it was both a nostalgic and educational process for me to go back to my roots, and to gain additional self-discovery as it relates to both my professional and personal endeavors, and what I have accomplished since founding TechSquad IT in 2008,” Wiser said. “I am hoping that viewers will come away with a sense of ambition and drive after watching this film, especially if they are in a spot currently where they are trying to accomplish a specific goal and/or dream, and will follow their passions.”
