Veeam Backup Management Suite Now Available to Hosting, Managed Service and Cloud Providers as a Monthly Per-VM Rental or for Purchase
Veeam Backup Management Now Available Monthly to Hosting, MSP, Cloud Providers
Veeam Software said that it has expanded its Veeam Cloud Provider (VCP) program with the addition of Veeam Backup Management Suite. The VCP program offers flexible monthly and perpetual licensing to meet the needs of hosting, managed service and cloud providers.
The Veeam Cloud Provider program currently has more than 3,000 participants worldwide. Monthly rental by the virtual machine (VM) is available in more than 70 countries from more than 50 Veeam rental resellers, while perpetual licenses are available from thousands of Veeam resellers around the world.
“Together, cloud archiving and backup services had estimated revenue of $842.1 million in 2011. Annual growth rates exceeding 40% are projected for 2012 and 2013; the market will continue strong growth beyond 2013 into 2016,” said Jie Zhang, Research Director at Gartner. “The five-year CAGR is forecast at 30.6%, with the total market size reaching $3.2 billion by 2016.”
With the VCP program, service providers can expect to:
- Realize more revenue by offering a larger array of data protection and management services;
- Raise customer satisfaction with stronger data protection and faster response time when data needs to be recovered; and
- Increase administrator productivity and mitigate daily management risks.
“Many established storage vendors have already started delivering their on-premises archiving or backup software via the cloud. Many more new entrants — pure cloud services providers — are seizing this opportunity as well,” Zhang said. “These smaller vendors are competing aggressively by taking advantage of the nascent state of the market. Their agility in adapting to new and changing business requirements puts them in a good position to compete.”2

The suite is available now to VCPs as a per VM monthly rental and as a perpetual license in blocks of 10 VMs.
