Earlier today, Washington, DC-based MSP, eGuard Technology Services, announced that it has acquired NewTeq Computer Services, an MSP based in Frederick, MD. The primary goal of this acquisition was to open new geographical markets and to better serve area customers.
eGuard Technology Services Founder and CEO, Khaled Farhang, said this about the news: “While this is officially an acquisition, I instead view it as eGuard Technology Services and NewTeq Computer Services joining together to build upon an already solid foundation of two individual companies that will now be an even stronger company, offering expanded resources, technical expertise, and additional staff.”
For NewTeq CEO, Lynda Wagner, the acquisition was the next natural step in a long-existing partnership: “NewTeq has shared a very close business partner relationship with eGuard for many years. With that being said, our companies have shared a similar vision and company culture, which makes this acquisition both a solid fit and strong growth strategy on continuing to serve and expand SMB customer bases from Washington DC to Frederick, MD.”
In fact, Lynda Wagner will spearhead the operations at the eGuard Technology Services MD office. In addition, all customers involved in the transition will have NOC level 1 and 2 support, as well as access to eGuard’s App Development platform and Managed SEO services portal.
