“More manufacturers are looking to integrate their connected electronics not just with a WiFi or Bluetooth feature, but with the user’s ever-present cell phone. The pervasiveness of this category at this year’s CES event is proof that smart technologies are sharply on the rise, adding to the ubiquity of the Internet of Things, allowing users to maintain control over their business locations, homes, and devices from across the office or across the world,” said Rob Eby, Vice President of Purchasing at D&H Distributing.
Here are a few examples of the new solutions available via D&H Distributing:
- Belkin WeMo Automation: This solution allows the user access to water, power, WiFi and electronic devices from their smartphone. Via an app available on Android, iOS, or iPod Touch devices, users can see how much electricity they are using, and get alerts when a high limit has been reached.
- Kwikset “SmartKey” Locks: This solution will allow a user to re-key security systems in seconds, in the event that an employee doesn’t turn in a key as they are leaving.
- Oplink Automation Systems: The devices in this portfolio can do monitoring of windows and doors, as well as IP Surveillance to alert users to a fire or flood. D&H has a full bundle available with WiFi cameras, door/window sensors, sirens, motion detectors and keyfobs.
