dandhjpgD&H Distributing recently announced that it saw 13.3% overall growth between May and October 2014, a number that is twice the industry

average. This growth was driven by a number of factors, primarily server products, tablets, monitors, notebooks, and more.

To break it down further, D&H saw a 38% increase in the number of server product-related sales between May and October of this year. D&H reps said that this growth was related to notifications and educational campaigns focused on the SBS 2003 end-of-life deadline. Along the same vein, the sales of tablets, notebooks, etc. mentioned above was driven in part by the Windows XP end-of-life earlier this year. Additionally, D&H saw an increase in sales in its Education vertical, which the reseller attributed to national campaigns, such as Common Core, in addition to its own various webcasts.

So what is D&H expecting in 2015? Well, D&H reps said that they are looking at the IoT/IoE (Internet of Things/Internet of Everything) trend to take off next year. To support this trend, D&H has started carrying various health wearables from FitBit and Striiv, as well as smart locks and smart thermostats.

“D&H has spent the year helping resellers focus on unique market developments that present once-in-a-decade refresh opportunities. This has predicated a clear uptick in sales for our customer base,” said Jeff Davis, Senior Vice President of Sales at D&H. “We’re glad to find that our efforts have been well executed, and we plan to stay ahead of these trends as they evolve.”

D&H is also set to add extensions to its HP Enterprise Group line and Lenovo System X Server line as well. D&H also recently achieved “full line” HP distributor status, which enables them to sell end-to-end HP solutions to its resellers.
