Transatlantic Partner Link-Up - Exclusive Meeting at WPC

Microsoft sees the Nordics and the Baltic region as Europe’s “Silicon Valley” - an exceptional geographic cluster of ICT talent and innovation, and one of the world’s leading ICT powerhouses. As a result, Microsoft has historically invested more deeply in this region than in any other part of the world!

The Central Puget Sound - a region in the State of Washington with Seattle being the largest city (and home to Microsoft’s headquarter) – shares many of the same characteristics of the Nordic and Baltic regions. This includes a well-educated population with excellent universities, and home to fast-rising companies that are driving innovation in a vibrant ICT sector which creates jobs and growth.

Despite these shared strengths, both regions face similar challenges and barriers that potentially threaten continued development and growth. A significant lack of trained IT professionals, difficult-to-access venture capital for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB’s) and start-ups, and the ability to thus attract R&D investments all pose a significant threat.

With this in mind Microsoft, IAMCP, SMB Nation and Professional Options invite you to join us and other partner SMBs for an exclusive meeting. At WPC, we will join forces across the Atlantic Ocean and explore how to further leverage the Nordic/Baltic and Puget Sound regions as strong players on the global IT scene.

  • When: Wednesday July 16 at 4:00-5:30 pm
  • Where: Archives Room at Marriott Marquis (just across the conference center)

The purpose of the meeting is to create a network of bi-regional partners who are inspired and ready to further build upon relationships by actively engaging in knowledge sharing, peer-to-peer discussion, and the possibility of future exchange programs such as the “working vacation concept”. Partners who seek or wish to offer mentoring, attract venture capital, and expand business between the regions are ideal candidates.

To gain the most of the site meeting, we’ll match you with four other SMBs prior to the networking session based on feedback prepared by you before the meeting. You’ll then have 15 min. of networking with each counterpart.
