Neither rain nor darkness or sniffles/colds (going around here) kept the loyal and dedicated group of geeks from our 2nd Annual Geek Holiday Party on December 4th!
So just a short shoutout via the pic below recognize the geeks on the loose at the gathering...a few hours of chatting and good food.
So why bother? For a couple reasons.
1. In-person network gatherings are how I build this (my SMB Nation community)
2. You can do this with your clients - just a couple hours perhaps after work like we did.
3. Hook-up with a stranger ;) That is - use the oldest trick in our space. Invite your local LinkedIn connections...it works.
4. If ya' wanna go big time, create a meetup group at Meetup.com as you'll have the benefit of attracting strangers.
5. Costs? No problem - our gatherings like this are always potluck and BYOB...for a couple reasons but it allows everyone to participate in the success!

Bottom line: We will repeat next year - typically the 1st week of December. Join us. Heck Obi came from Boston,MA!
